What does a garage floor coating cost?
Standard-area garage floors in the Tallahassee area typically run between $3,000 and $10,000, depending on slab condition, square footage, and the finish system you choose. Every slab is different, which is why we do a free on-site quote — you'll get an exact number, not a guess.
How long does the install take?
A typical 2-car garage takes 1–2 days on site. No walking or traffic on the floor until after 72 hours of the final coat — that gives the system time to fully cure before you put it back to use.
Will hot tires or oil damage it?
Quality epoxy and polyaspartic systems are engineered to resist hot-tire pickup and chemical staining. Oil, gas, and fluids sit on the surface and wipe up — they don't soak in like they do with bare concrete or cheap paint.
Is the floor slippery when wet?
Flake and quartz systems have natural texture, and we can add an anti-slip additive to any topcoat. We'll talk through traction options during your estimate — especially for pool decks and exterior slabs.
My concrete is cracked. Can you still coat it?
Usually, yes. We repair cracks, spalls, and pitting as part of prep. Diamond grinding also opens the slab so repairs bond properly. Severely damaged slabs occasionally need extra work — we'll tell you honestly at the assessment.
Do I need to empty my garage?
Yes, the floor needs to be completely clear before we start. Most homeowners move items to the driveway, a pod, or a spare room the day before. Don't want to deal with it? We offer an on-site garage contents storage add-on — we bring a secure container, load your belongings, and move everything back after the floor cures. Ask about it when you request your estimate.
